Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Vologda Region


The Government Regulation of 17.10.2016 № 920 approved the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Vologda Region up to the year 2030.

The document contains the basic conditions and the analysis of Socio-Economic Development of the Vologda Region, the data on human capital development and improvement of the people’s life quality, the conditions for sustainable economic growth and potential for future development (development of economic, tourist and recreational, scientific and technical, innovative potentials, basic infrastructure).

In the Strategy there is presented the SWOT-analysis of the Vologda Region (competitive advantages and weaknesses of the region). Its sections are devoted to market institutions development, public administration, priority national projects implementation, international cooperation of the Vologda Region, possible scenarios of the region’s socio-economic development, the system of strategic aims, tasks and priorities of the social and economic policy. The final section of the Strategy is about the mechanisms of the document implementation.
