The working meeting was initiated by Vologda Region Development Corporation. The participants were Deputy Governor of the Vologda Region Mikhail Glazkov, Director General of Vologda Region Development Corporation Oksana Yakovleva and Director General of OOO May-Foods Sergey Konev.
In the meeting the representatives of parties emphasized the advantages of Ivan-Tea project both for the region and for the investor, as well as the opportunities to create the production raw basis for cultivating and producing Ivan-Tea on the area up to 1,000 ha.
"Already today it is to be noted that cooperation with May-Foods, the manufacturer of famous and recognizable Russian tea brands, opens new prospects for the region: this means the creation of new jobs, the emergence of a new large taxpayer in the region, joining the leaders in the cultivation and production of Ivan-Tea in Russia, and, of course, the creation of an innovative world-class enterprise, " VRDC Director General Oksana Yakovleva noted.
The new investment project implies the creation of the Ivan-Tea line in the Vologda region with the output of finished products of 1,000 tons by 2020. It is planned to create 200 permanent jobs and 2,000 seasonal jobs for the summer period. The announced volume of investments in the project is 265 mln rubles.
The company May-Foods holds a 20% share in the tea market in Russia. The main trademarks of May-Foods tea are Curtis, Richard, Maisky and Lisma. The company also develops coffee production, in 2015 the brand Coffesso - natural coffee in the individual drip bag package was brought to the market.
